A visit day

Two painters, one list, a half day

This is a typical One visit. Two visits and A room a year follow the same order on a longer day.

  1. Day before

    Step 1: Before they arrive

We text a two-hour window the day before, and again when the crew leaves the shop.

The drop cloth goes down first
  2. First 30 minutes

    Step 2: The walk-through

The lead walks the house with you and checks the list against your color record. You point at anything we missed.

Small paint cans and dabs of paint on a white drop cloth
    Colors checked against the record
  3. Before any paint

    Step 3: Cover and protect

Floors and furniture near the work are covered, and one path through the house stays clear.

Furniture covered, a path kept clear
  4. Mid-morning

Step 4: Patch, sand and prime

Nail pops, hairline cracks and caulk lines first, then spot-prime wherever the wall was opened.

Sanded flush before it is painted
  5. Late morning

Step 5: Touch up in your color

Mixed from your record, applied with a small brush or a mini roller, edge to edge on the spot we repaired.

A small paintbrush with orange bristles on a white surface
A small brush, not a big roller
  6. End of the visit

Step 6: Clean up and the list

Tape comes off, floors are cleaned, and the lead goes through what was done and what is coming.

Questions

About a visit

What happens on a visit?

Two painters arrive in a window we text you the day before, walk the house with you, then work through the list for a half day or a full day, depending on the tier. You get a written list within the week.

Do I have to be home?

For the walk-through, yes. After that, many members give a code or a key and are out at work. You choose, and we text when the crew arrives and leaves.

Will you move furniture and cover floors?

Yes. We cover floors and furniture near the work and keep one path clear. We move what we can lift safely and leave the rest for you to move.

What about the weather?

Inside visits do not care. Outside work needs dry days and paint that can cure, so we schedule those on dry days and do not promise a date in advance.

Can you match a color you do not have a record for?

Usually, from a sample of the wall. The match is closest on a wall that has not faded; we tell you at the walk-through if we think a patch will show.
